How to Delete Synced Photos from iPhone/iPad

By FonePaw | Apr 09 , 2015

"I have synced a folder which contains some pictures to my iPhone. The synced photos are successfully copied to my iPhone. But I cannot see any "delete" option in my iPhone to remove the synced photos. How can I delete these photos?"

Deleting photos from Photo Library is different from deleting photos from iPhone Camera Roll. Instead of removing iTunes-synced photos from the Photos app on iPhone, you need to delete the photos from your computer by iTunes sync. Here are the details.

  1. Connect your iPhone/iPad to computer and start iTunes on your computer.
  2. Click the iPhone icon in the top toolbar.
  3. Click the "Photos" tab
  4. Delete iTunes-synced photos
  • Delete selected photos from an album: you’ll need to delete those selected photos from the album on your computer and the apply sync the album again.
  • Remove an entire album: Just uncheck the album you don't need in iTunes and sync again.

Delete iPhone Photo Library Photos

  • Delete all iTunes-synced photos: Create a empty folder on your computer first. Then, sync the empty folder. The photos in Photo Library will be gone in no time.

Note: this will only remove all photos and albums you have previously synced from computer to iPhone through iTunes. It will not delete other photos or albums in your camera roll.
