How to Create and Post a Slideshow on Facebook
A photo slideshow on Facebook allows you to turn multiple photos into a simple and creative video. It is a no-brainer to create and post a slideshow on Facebook. However, some of you may notice that the Create Slideshow option is only available on Facebook pages. If the slideshow option is not available for you, jump to Part 2 to get a simple tool to make a slideshow for Facebook.
You can easily start a slideshow from your Facebook page. You can create and post a slideshow following the steps below.
Step 1: Access the Create Slideshow Option
On the top of your Facebook page, click Photo/Video to create a post. This will open a menu with options such as Uploading Photos/Video, Create Photo Album, Create Slideshow. Click Create Slideshow. (If you are not seeing the Create Slideshow option, jump to Part 2 for a new way to make a slideshow for Facebook.
Step 2: Configure Your Slideshow Settings
There are 3 slideshow settings you can configure on Facebook: aspect ratio, duration, transition. You can choose an aspect ratio of original, 1:1(square), 16:9(rectangle), 2:3(vertical).
Duration decides how long each slide shows. The duration can be 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 seconds.
Only one transition - the fade transition is available.
Step 3: Create A Slideshow on Facebook
Now you click Add Photos to upload the photos you want to make a slideshow. The photos can be from your computer, Facebook page timeline. Add the photos in the order that you want them to show in the slideshow. You can also upload a piece of music or select a music track provided by Facebook to make a slideshow with music.
Step 4: Post the Slideshow
Now you can play the slideshow to check if it turns out the way you want it to be. If the slideshow looks good to you, write something to describe it and click Publish to post the slideshow to your Facebook page.
Click the three dot in the slideshow post, you'll be given the option to download the video locally.
It seems that Facebook has removed the slideshow creation feature from both the Facebook web and its mobile app for individual users. You can only create a slideshow on a Facebook page.
