After months of waiting, free voice calling on WhatsApp finally rolled out to iOS users. An update to the iOS app hit the App Store earlier today and indicates that you'll soon be able to call anyone using WhatsApp for free.
You just need to be connected to an internet connection, and you can then call any fellow WhatsApp users regardless of what device they’re using and where they might be located.
Though free-calling is the real killer of the new version of WhatsApp, that's not the only addition to WhatsApp for iOS. The other big update is that WhatsApp now plays nicely with iOS 8’s new sharing system, which means you can share photos, videos, links etc. by tapping the "Share" button in other apps.
One more thing you must know is that if you've already updated and are madly pecking around WhatsApp settings trying to call someone, hold up. You might not have access to the feature yet - WhatsApp says it'll roll out "slowly over the next few weeks." So just wait for a short while before the feature goes live in your region and keep chatting with your friends with WhatsApp as a messenger. If you lost the WhatsApp chat history accidently, don’t worry! You can still recover WhatsApp data from iPhone with FonePaw iPhone Data Recovery.
